Nickolas Murnion
Nickolas Murnion has served 27 years as the part–time county attorney for Garfield County, Montana.
In 1975 Nick obtained an undergraduate degree in government from Montana State University; in 1978 he received a law degree from the University of Montana. Nick was honored by the Montana County Attorney’s Association and received the Local Professionalism award in 1996. The Profile of Courage Award was given to Nick by the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, MA, in 1998. He received the Congress Advocacy Award from the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2000.
Nick is a member of the Montana Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the National District Attorney’s Association. Additionally, he has served as president of the Montana County Attorney’s Association. Nick has spoken before the House Subcommittee on Crime regarding “The Nature and Threat of Violent Anti-Government Groups in America.” He has also spoken at various law enforcement seminars concerning extremists.
Nickolas is married with two children and currently resides in Jordan, Montana.
