Jim Oppedahl

    Jim Oppedahl is an at-large member of the Montana Board of Crime Control. Jim has enjoyed a diverse career in Montana’s state government. He has served on the Montana Legislative Council and the Governor’s Office of Budget and Program Planning. In addition, he has been an administrator in three different divisions of Montana’s Department of Justice. When he retired in April 2006, Jim was the State Court Administrator for the Montana Supreme Court.

    Jim served as a VISTA Volunteer on the Leach Lake Reservation in Minnesota, and he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in India. Jim also served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. Jim has a master's degree in history from the University of Montana. He and his wife Anita reside in Helena. They have four sons.
